The Inca honored this belief in their most sacred symbol, the Chakana - the Andean cross that held the three worlds as one.

The Chakana ring holds that belief in three slender rings. Each is an unbroken circle of emerald green - the color carried through all of Le Pérou - with no beginning and no end. Apart, each is quietly beautiful but together, the rings become the Chakana: three circles, three worlds, joined on a single hand.
